Workshop - Cell Animation

Todays workshop was really tricky.

I understood the whole concept of cell animation but when put into groups it got complex.
To rely on someone elses previous tween before starting mine was quite tricky.
I did how ever enjoy working out the spacing between movements in each frame.

These were just some original sketches of development for how the motif could be moved and created into its own character. The top left drawing is the original logo, you can see how my idea develops where the ball splits into two then take it in turns to bounce up and down before joining back to one ball.

These sketches are from the culmination of ideas within my group. We chose to incorporate a 2nd logo that resembled the 'snake' game from Nokia phones. The idea is that the 2nd logo unravels into a snake look-a-like and moves towards the bouncing ball and consumes it.

The final storyboard we created of the animation is above. We divided the 12 fames up so each group member had 2 frames to complte each with 24 slides.
